One of the top vocalist+guitarist in the heavy metal world and also the co-founder of heavy metal band Metallica, has turned 48 today. Besides being a vocalist+guitarist for the band, he is also the main song writer for the American Heavy metal band. In 2009 Hetfield was ranked no. 8 in Joe McIver's book 100 greatest metal guitarists and ranked 24th in Hit Parader's list of 100 great vocalists of all time.
